Swedish vocalist, composer, and studio craftsman A7S merges bright club rhythms with sorrowful verses that explore romantic loss and longing. Two joint efforts alongside German electronic artist Topic brought global recognition: the 2019 release “Breaking Me” and the 2021 single “Your Love (9PM),” the latter also featuring ATB.

Alexander Tidebrink spent his early years in Ulricehamn, Sweden, where he mastered songwriting on both guitar and piano. His initial partnership came in 2015 with the Swedish pair Vigiland on the track “Addicted,” which entered the domestic pop listings and later received double-platinum certification. Performing briefly under the alias Charlie Who?, Tidebrink also contributed songwriting, production, or guest vocals to material by Hardwell, Infernal, LIAMOO, Christopher, and additional acts. The year 2018 marked a turning point when his collaboration with Alle Farben, “Only Thing We Know,” registered on charts across several territories; simultaneously, “Be Your Friend,” recorded with Vigiland and Ted Nights, climbed to the Swedish Top Ten and earned quintuple-platinum status. Two further Vigiland collaborations, “Nice to Meet You” and “We’re the Same,” likewise achieved platinum certification.

Adopting the moniker A7S, Tidebrink issued the Vigiland single “Strangers” in 2019. He next joined Topic—another specialist in wistful dance-pop—on “Breaking Me,” a release that became a career breakthrough for both musicians. The song dominated radio playlists worldwide, attained platinum or multi-platinum awards in fifteen nations, and received a nomination for Top Dance/Electronic Song at the Billboard Music Awards. In 2020 the duo enlisted rapper Lil Baby for “Why Do You Lie to Me,” which secured modest chart placement without reaching blockbuster scale. Their follow-up, “Your Love (9PM),” reworked ATB’s 1998 trance classic “9 PM (Till I Come)” and listed ATB as a featured performer; the early-2021 track became another worldwide success, appearing on dozens of national charts and earning a BRIT Award nomination for International Song of the Year. Later that year A7S issued the solo singles “Nirvana” and “By My Side.”
