Biography
Born in June 1959, Argentinean singer Claudia Puyó launched her career at fifteen by performing alongside Aníbal Forcada and establishing the group Trigésimo in 1976. Seeking wider prospects, she relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she contributed to Rafael Bini's album Comida China and collaborated with acts including Corina and Grass Band. Beginning in June 1984, Puyó committed to tracking original material and issued her debut album Del Oeste. She also appeared on Patricio Rey y Sus Redonditos de Ricota's Gulp and Oktubre. In pursuit of fresh musical directions, Puyó settled in Spain during 1987, assembled the ensemble los Románticos de Artane, and completed the cassette-only release Aparato Para Sordos. Following a European tour alongside Kevin Ayers, she recorded the track "El Amor Después del Amor" with Fito Paez, marking one of her signature successes. Her album Cuando Te Vi Partir arrived in 1994. The following year the Konex Foundation honored Claudia Puyó as Best Female Rock Artist.
