Biography
Considering Lily, the acoustic-based pop/alternative CCM duo, has undergone numerous transformations across its history. Sisters Serene Campbell and Pearl Barrett, originally from New Zealand, launched performances across the United States in 1991 as Serene & Pearl. Their debut record, Crazy Stories, appeared in 1995, followed by the self-titled Considering Lily in 1997. Shortly thereafter Campbell chose to exit the act entirely in order to focus on family responsibilities. Barrett remained committed to the Considering Lily name and, through an introduction from Eddie DeGarmo of ForeFront Records, connected with Jeanette Herdman, spouse of Audio Adrenaline’s Bob Herdman. The pair connected instantly and commenced songwriting two days afterward. With this refreshed lineup, Considering Lily abandoned its earlier folk orientation for a sharper, alternative edge, which produced the 1999 release The Pieces Fit.
