Panamanian native Jorge Valdes Vasquez, professionally known as Dimelo Flow, ranks among the most productive and commercially dominant DJs, producers, and performers in contemporary Latin music. Throughout the 2010s his input proved decisive in shaping numerous major-charting records spanning hip-hop, trap, and R&B, among them Sech and Darrel’s chart-topping “Otro Trago” as well as Karol G and J Balvin’s “Ocean.” Although he rejects any reggaeton classification, his productions remain rooted in the urbano/Latin trap idiom, defined by rapid, gliding rhythms, airy keyboard textures interwoven with samples, and spacious frameworks that accommodate both sung and rapped vocals. After issuing his earliest solo singles in 2017 and 2018, he finalized an artist contract with Interscope in 2019 via an arrangement with Rich Music. Two further singles, “Suelta” and “Winnie Pooh,” registered on the charts in 2022, the same year his debut album Always Dream reached listeners in June.

Born in Panama City, the young Jorge Valdes Vasquez initially prioritized basketball as a prospective profession rather than music. A femur fracture sustained in a car accident at age 14 ended those athletic ambitions. At 15 he began spinning records at school functions and private gatherings; by 17 he had advanced to club work, refining his technique over the following two years. Growing fascination with the industry prompted frequent trips to New York City, where he studied its commercial structures and sharpened his DJ abilities. At 20 he secured an engineering post at a Florida radio station, a role he held for two years while encountering numerous hip-hop acts and assembling personal mixtapes during off-hours. Relocating to Tampa at 22, he obtained a three-night-weekly club residency; there he encountered Justin Quiles, whose admiration for Flow’s dual skills as DJ and engineer led to a production collaboration. The pair later transferred to Miami together, after which Flow contributed to projects by J Alvarez, J Balvin, Nacho, Bad Bunny, and Jory. Shortly thereafter he joined the roster of Rich Music, an imprint associated with forward-thinking Latin talent.

During the ensuing three years he maintained an almost daily studio schedule. Beyond the previously cited cuts, he crafted dozens of additional recordings, including the hit “ALOÓ” by BCA and “Me Gustaría” by Sech, Justin Quiles, and Jowell & Randy. Videos linked to his productions accumulated tens of millions of views, while his 2017–2018 output generated millions of streams worldwide, reflecting truly global chart traction.

June 2017 brought his first Rich Music single as a lead artist, “In the Morning” featuring Justin Quiles and Fuego, which entered streaming charts inside the Top 50. The 2018 video and single “Envidiosos,” boasting Farruko, Bryant Myers, Justin Quiles, Dalex, and Kelmitt, amassed tens of millions of views and reached the Top 20 on Latin streaming lists; he simultaneously produced Zion & Lennox’s charting trap track “No Quiero Amarte.”

These accomplishments culminated in 2019, when “Otro Trago” ascended to number one and amassed nearly 104 million streams while ten additional productions of his also charted. He further oversaw sessions for Farruko’s Gangalee. An Interscope artist agreement materialized through the Rich Music partnership, and he commenced work on his debut album. September saw the pre-release single “El Favor” with Nicky Jam, Farruko, Sech, Zion, and Lunay, which exceeded seven million streams in its opening week. Later that month Rich Music & Dímelo Flow Present: The Avengers appeared, featuring Lenny Tavarez, Quiles, Sech, Dalex, and Feid. October introduced Members Only on Interscope. Over the next two years he produced or appeared on several further successes, among them Bad Bunny’s “Ignorantes,” Anitta’s “Quiero Rumba,” and Dalex and associates’ “MMC.”

In 2022 Flow recorded and co-produced three selections from Daddy Yankee’s LegenDaddy and issued his own charting singles “Suelta” and “Winnie Pooh.” June brought the 28-track long-player Always Dream, which showcased Sech, Lenny Tavárez, Justin Quiles, and J Balvin on the focus track “Qué Me Contás” alongside additional contributors including Ozuna, Farruko, Reik, Mariah Angeliq, and Jay Wheeler. The project registered inside the Top Ten on multiple Latin charts.
