Biography
After two decades working largely unnoticed as a touring DJ, French EDM producer Jack Perry relocated to Toulouse and assumed the roles of resident DJ and art director at one of the region’s biggest nightclubs in southern France. While there, he began creating original tracks, drawing on the house and electro material that filled his club sets. His first noticeable release arrived in 2013: the pounding debut single “One More,” which blended electro, house, trance, and dubstep through hoover synth lines and a subtly Eastern melodic thread. The track’s modest traction encouraged him to keep producing, leading in 2015 to his breakthrough follow-up “Dime,” an unusual marriage of EDM and Afro-Cuban elements. The song quickly became a major club success throughout France and the rest of Europe, reaching the Top Ten on Spanish club charts and topping Shazam rankings in multiple territories. Within six months the track had accumulated nearly three and a half million YouTube views, helped by a suggestive video showing attractive young people dancing on a beach in Palma, Spain.
