Biography
Emerging initially through his involvement in the reality series Acapulco Shore, Mexican singer Jawy Mendez began issuing music in 2016. The seven-track effort QUE SABES TU arrived as his debut album in 2022.
A native of Mexico City, Luis "Jawy" Mendez made his first appearance on Mexican television in 2014 upon joining the Jersey Shore spin-off Acapulco Shore. The candid program, which chronicled eight young adults as they figured out early independence, quickly attracted viewers and positioned Mendez as a central figure. After completing two seasons, he put out his earliest recording, the single "Ponte Pa Mi," in 2016. In the years that followed he gradually shared additional songs that blended Latin pop with reggaeton, ultimately departing the series in 2020. Increasing his output, Mendez then released several singles such as "Todavia," "Encima de Mi," and "LA IDEA," culminating in the 2022 arrival of his debut mini-album, QUE SABES TU. Once the project was out he rejoined Acapulco Shore for its tenth season.
