Biography
Originating from Finland, trance DJ and producer Kimmo Kauppinen achieved a string of hit singles in the early 2000s under the K-System name. Standouts among those tracks include the 2003 release "Sound of Arena" and the 2004 single "Guardian Angel." His first outing as K-System arrived in 1999 via the single "Come to Me," while his initial album, SupaDupaSounds, surfaced in 2001 and featured the Top Ten title track alongside the Top 20 entry "Set U Free." The follow-up effort, Sleep Is the Enemy (2004), yielded further Top 20 singles in "Sound of Arena," "Dream My Dream," "Guardian Angel," and "L.O.V.E.," several of which climbed into the Top Ten; of the batch, "Guardian Angel" performed strongest, landing inside the Top Five. In 2009 Kauppinen issued 10th Anniversary Compilation, a career retrospective that also introduced the new Top 20 single "Devil Without the Horns."
