KB Mike

Hailing from Chicago, rapper Damichael D. Tate, known professionally as KB Mike, carved out his reputation by weaving emotional vulnerability into his work and delivering unfiltered perspectives on everyday struggles. Raised amid the storied dangers of the city’s Southside, he first built momentum by uploading freestyles online as Klanboy Mike. Rising visibility prompted him to shorten the name to KB Mike, setting the stage for his breakthrough in 2020 with the tracks “Addicted” and “Deep in Love.” The next year brought a contract with Republic Records and the release of the single “Used To,” followed by the arrival of his debut album, Nothing Lasts Forever, late in 2021.
