Rapper 2KBABY crafts introspective and emotionally open tracks that chronicle the difficulties and obstacles encountered during his upbringing in Louisville, Kentucky. His minimalist, guitar-led freestyle “Old Streets” turned into a viral sensation in 2019, securing a Warner Bros. recording contract. The debut EP Pregame Rituals surfaced at the start of the following year, succeeded by the two-track 2K Stimulus and the album-length First Quarter in 2021. Additional singles continued to surface, among them the 2023 release “Don’t Love Me Now” with charlieonnafriday.

First performing under the name Lil Sage, the MC began posting material online in 2017, among them joint efforts with associates BBlasian and Lil Zayo. A 2019 single and video called “Like This,” carrying a stronger emo sensibility than his prior work, circulated widely, yet the SayCheeseTV freestyle that became “Old Streets” achieved the widest reach. Warner Bros. inked the emerging talent and issued the track officially with both a single and video rollout. “Dreaming” and “Betta” arrived as further singles later that year ahead of Pregame Rituals, which the label put out in early 2020. In January 2021 he delivered 2K Stimulus, containing “Rounds” and “2Kizzy Flow.” First Quarter followed later in 2021 and featured the singles “Luigi” with Chief Keef plus “Zack & Cody” with DDG. The 2022 releases “Rain” and “Stand Love” preceded “Don’t Love Me Now” featuring charlieonnafriday in 2023.
