Biography
Following the 1988 breakup of el Corte, singer/songwriter Javier Calamaro launched a fresh endeavor named los Guarros in partnership with guitarist Daniel Herrera. The Latin rock act earned Revelation of the Year honors after issuing Prostitución y Vagancia in 1989. Rosas en Tu Pecho arrived the next year, and a self-titled album followed in 1992. That year the band also supported Joe Cocker at Buenos Aires’ Velez Sarsfield stadium. Veneno was tracked in 1993 and Acústico y Rock and Roll in 1994. A short-lived split ended when los Guarros resurfaced in 1997 with Pampas Lisérgicas.
