Biography
Originally from Shiraz, Iran, Tara Mobayen—known professionally as Miss Tara—now operates as a Canada-based house and EDM DJ whose international performances fuse elements drawn from both fashion and music to generate an energetic environment. Classically trained on piano beginning at age eight, she relocated to Canada a decade afterward in order to pursue studies in astrophysics while simultaneously launching a modeling career. An assignment in Paris led to major surgery, after which physicians prohibited air travel for twelve months; Mobayen responded by spending that period crossing Europe solely by rail. Encounters with several DJs during these journeys prompted her to explore the craft, starting with early appearances in Parisian venues. Returning to Toronto, she began creating original productions and leveraged accumulated contacts to launch touring activity. By 2016 those efforts had taken her across South America and India, where she shared bills with David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas, and Martin Garrix. In 2017 she issued her first album, Let’s Live!
