No Bragging Rights

Vocalist Mike Perez launched the Southern California metalcore outfit No Bragging Rights in 1999 at just 15 years old. From 2001 to 2004 the ensemble functioned as a fully independent unit and issued two demos plus an EP without outside support. Frequent personnel changes marked most of the 2000s while the group delivered its first full-length album, Because You Believe in Something Beyond Them, and later secured a contract with Pure Noise for The Consequences of Dreams. The fourth bassist parted ways amicably after the 2011 album Illuminator. In 2012 the roster locked into place with bassist Ryan Warrell, drummer Martin Alcedo, and guitarists Christian Lee and Daniel Garrow, who together recorded Cycles.
