Biography
The F-Ups originated in Rochester, Minnesota, featuring vocalist and guitarist Travis Allen alongside guitarist Chris DeWerd, bassist Andy Collett, and drummer Taylor Nogo. The four musicians came together in 1999 during their high school period and shaped a style that drew from established outfits including Bad Religion and NOFX while also embracing the sweeping melodies typical of then-current pop-punk. After a stretch of regional performances and industry showcases, Capitol signed the band in 2003. Their self-titled debut arrived in July 2004 and was backed by a series of Warped Tour appearances.
