Victor Thompson, a Nigerian singer and songwriter driven by deep conviction, infuses his Afrobeat-inflected gospel sound with a enveloping sense of warmth. Already active more than ten years prior, he entered the 2017 edition of The Voice Nigeria, which paved the way for his first official release the following year, the 2018 single "Miyeruwe." Breakout recognition arrived in 2023 when the track "This Year (Blessings)," a partnership with fellow Nigerian Ehis D'Greatest, ascended to the top spot on Billboard's Afrobeats chart; the song later formed part of his debut album, Blessed, issued that December.

Thompson entered the world in Lagos yet spent his formative years in Okpara Inland within Delta State, where his vocal gifts surfaced early. Following his college years he took on church music direction, arranged live events, and contributed to television productions including Vocalist Naija and ARTmosphere Reality Show. His participation in The Voice Nigeria, staged in South Africa during 2017, brought nationwide visibility, after which he issued the lush gospel original "Miyeruwe" as his recorded debut the next year. Recording activity picked up again in 2022 through a run of inspirational singles such as "Not Moved" and "My Back." Early in 2023 he joined forces with Ehis D'Greatest to unveil the soaring "This Year (Blessings)," which swiftly accumulated millions of viral streams, claimed the number-one position on Billboard's Afrobeats chart, and secured four Marathana Award plus a Headies nomination. Later that same year Thompson unveiled his first full-length project, Blessed.
