Rapper 10k.Caash, who bills himself as the originator of the Woah, helped drive the dance craze’s widespread adoption throughout 2018. He parlayed that visibility into a Def Jam recording contract, which yielded his first major-label project, The Creator, the following year.

Born Treyvon Britt in Dallas’s Oak Cliff neighborhood, 10k.Caash belonged to the local Rollie Bros dance crew. While already active with the group, he gained separate social-media traction in 2018 as the Woah became a genuine phenomenon by year’s end. That same year he issued his initial rowdy, irreverent tracks and appeared alongside G.U.N and FKi 1st on Good Gas’s “On Go Freestyle,” which Mad Decent released. After 10k.Caash and G.U.N (also known as GUN40) each secured solo deals with Def Jam, the label put out their short, brash collaboration “Aloha” in March 2019 and quickly followed it with the further joint cut “Geek It Up.” The Creator, his full-length debut, arrived that May and included guest appearances from Lil Yachty, Famous Dex, and Rico Nasty. Planet Swajjur surfaced early the next year, showcasing Sexton, TyFontaine, Young Jordan, Zoey Dollaz, and TisaKorean, while the Freshman Year mixtape and the single “Whatchu Du” followed within months.
