Biography
Adestria, a band from San Diego, California, extend keyboard use past the approach typical among fellow metalcore acts by weaving in both dense synthesizer textures and conventional piano passages that lend classical drama to their trance-tinged metal explorations. The group’s roster features Matt Anderson on vocals, Russell Klein and Brian Stump on guitar, Chris Hardison on bass, Mikey Colasardo on keyboards, and Mike Yanez on drums. They emerged on the Southern California scene in 2008, rapidly earning recognition for an undiscovered melodic yet aggressive metalcore style first presented on the 2010 EP Oh the Places You'll Go. Artery Recordings subsequently signed the band and issued its debut full-length, Chapters, in 2012.
