Baby Money crafts straightforward Detroit anthems through boisterous bars and relentless vocals. His breakthrough arrived in 2020 via the victory-lap hit “Moncler Bubble.” Quality Control signed him in January 2022, after which he refined his approach on the explosive mixtapes Easy Money and New Money. The guest-heavy YNOS 2 followed in 2023.

Born and raised in Detroit, the cultural center of the Michigan scene, Baby Money began sharpening his rap skills at age twelve, much like other regional trailblazers. Early projects such as Sosa World (2017) and Time a Tell (2019) helped him carve space within the city’s dense rap environment, where he matched the prevailing sounds of the period and cultivated a loyal audience by the close of the decade. Further immersion in local styles came with 2020’s Impatient and Blank Checc, before 2021’s Young N***a Old Soul marked a decisive embrace of Michigan sonics through rapid-fire collaborations with established figures Helluva, RMC Mike, and Louie Ray. The resulting momentum prompted Atlanta-based Quality Control to ink Baby Money in January 2022, granting resources to expand his vision. He capitalized immediately with Easy Money, his most potent mixtape to date—a volley of stomping anthems driven by the characteristic Detroit groove. Later that year came the sixteen-track New Money, extending his pattern of buoyant flows and casually arrogant verses. Baby Money appeared on Kash Doll’s 2023 hit “Oh Boy” before unveiling YNOS 2, which featured Babyface Ray, Lil Yachty, and Gloss Up.
