Emerging from the breakup of post-hardcore band A Faylene Sky, Providence, Rhode Island rock group It Lives, It Breathes fused electronica, hard rock, and metal into one boundary-smashing sound. Reborn under their new name, former Faylene frontman Kevin Lacerda and guitarist/programmer Kris Sobanski added vocalist/bassist Jordan Stevens and guitarist Anthony DiBiase to round out the original lineup. That roster issued the self-titled debut EP in 2012, which included “German Girls Can Invade My Pole-Land Anytime” and “I Don’t Give a Jean-Claude Van Damme.” The EDM-flavored single “Part Deux” preceded sophomore EP We Come in Numbers, a release that brought guest turns from A Loss for Words and Crown the Empire. Further singles followed in the years ahead, most prominently the breakout “IndepenDance Day,” a track that spotlighted the band’s electronic edge. They later joined Stay Sick Recordings, the imprint launched by Attila frontman Chris “Fronz” Fronzak. First LP Silver Knights landed in April 2016, entering the Top 20 of Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart and featuring Jonny Craig on “Devils” plus Kyle Lucas on “Miley Virus (The One).”
