Tom Helsen

Flemish singer/songwriter Tom Helsen, whose sound has drawn comparisons to Buffalo Tom and Counting Crows, first gained notice by finishing second in the 1996 Humo's Rock Rally Contest. His self-titled debut arrived two years afterward, followed by the 2001 release Tom Is Doing Great, the 2004 album More Than Gold, and 2007's Hilite Hotel. Peak success arrived via duets with Regi on "Night & Day" and with Geike Arnaert on the chart-topping "Home"; between the making of 2008's Five-Oh and the 2009 single "Home," he also served as a judge on Steracteur Sterartiest. His highest-charting set, The Truth About That Girl & Me, appeared in 2011.
