Het Zesde Metaal

Originating from the vision of singer-songwriter Wannes Cappelle, the constantly shifting Belgian indie rock band known as Het Zesde Metaal came into existence in 2005. Cappelle first saw the light of day in Wevelgem in 1979 and earned acclaim by balancing his musical path with repeated forays into theater, appearing in well-received stage productions that tackled topics ranging from the First World War to manic depression while also supplying material for the children’s program Ik Verzamel U. He further belongs to the Dutch outfit Roosbeef and issued his initial Het Zesde Metaal album, Akattemets, in 2008 before delivering the follow-up Ploegsteert in 2012.
