Biography
Charity Gayle, a praise and worship leader residing in Buffalo, New York, launched her recording career during the mid-2010s. Her first full-length project, the 2018 album Lord You Are My Song, built a substantial audience that she sustained through subsequent releases including the emphatic, refined Endless Praise and the 2024 live album Rejoice.
Gayle first served as a worship pastor and music ministry director before entering professional music. She earned the title of GMA Immerse Vocalist of the Year in 2012, after which she began penning material for artists on the People & Songs roster. During that period she played a key role in The Emerging Sound, the organization’s program created to cultivate emerging Christian talent. Her first single, “Divine Exchange,” appeared in 2014 and was followed the next year by an EP bearing the same title. In 2017 she performed as a featured artist at the North American Youth Congress held in Indianapolis, Indiana, and early the following year she issued her debut full-length, Lord You Are My Song.
Endless Praise, issued in 2021 and propelled by the single “Thank You Jesus for the Blood,” further broadened her reach, while the live set Rejoice arrived in 2024.
