Biography
Chayce Beckham, a country singer and songwriter distinguished by his gravelly delivery, leveraged his American Idol victory into broad commercial recognition when his self-written single "23" topped the charts in 2021. Momentum from several preceding singles and an EP culminated in the arrival of his first full-length project, Bad for Me, during 2024.
Raised in California and shaped by the work of Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings, Beckham claimed the season 19 title on the long-running competition by outlasting runner-up Willie Spence. He followed the win with the immediate release of "23," then paired with Lindsay Ell for the ballad "Can't Do Without Me." The 2022 EP Doin' It Right arrived next and spotlighted the successful track "Tell Me Twice," after which he issued the additional songs "Keeping Me Up All Night" and, in 2023, "Little Less Lonely" en route to completing his debut album.
