Devin Dawson crafts country songs and delivers them with an instinct for sharp lyrical twists along with an ability to blend rustic traditions and modern production. A mashup of Taylor Swift covers that caught fire online led him to secure a contract with Warner Bros., after which he issued the hit single “All on Me.” That track climbed to number two on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and later surfaced on his debut full-length, Dark Horse, which arrived in 2018.

Born in Orangevale, California, Dawson absorbed the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and Johnny Cash while growing up. He relocated to Nashville in 2012 and immersed himself in the city’s songwriting community, supplying material for other performers. After refining his skills for several years, he chose to pursue a performing career and recruited producer Jay Joyce, whose résumé includes work with Eric Church, Little Big Town, and Brothers Osborne. Dawson then signed with Warner Music Nashville and put out his first single, “All on Me,” which reached the Top 20 on the Hot Country Songs chart. The song appeared on Dark Horse, whose additional contributors included Luke Laird, Josh Kerr, Seth Ennis, and further collaborators. The album entered the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 and rose to number five on the Top Country Albums chart.

In 2020 he reached the summit of the country airplay charts with “One Beer,” and the following year he issued the Pink Slip EP containing the singles “Range Rover” and “He Loved Her.”
