Jay Pryor, an Irish DJ, producer, songwriter, and remixer, first gained widespread attention through his contributions to the 2016 dance single "Just Hold On" by Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson. Beyond issuing his own EDM recordings, he has crafted remixes for artists including Niall Horan, Bastille, and ZAYN.

The Dublin native showed creative inclinations well before focusing on music, launching a graphic design company at age 15. Several years afterward, during his college period, Pryor saw a Calvin Harris concert that prompted him to pursue music professionally. He left school to concentrate on writing and recording, gradually building recognition within the electronic scene. The pivotal opportunity arrived in 2016 when he joined Steve Aoki and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson to co-produce "Just Hold On," which achieved major international success and peaked at number two on the U.K. singles chart. That momentum led to further remix work on high-profile releases such as Niall Horan's "Slow Hands" and Snakehips' "Cruel" featuring ZAYN. Following independent singles including 2017's "Fall for U" and 2018's "Over You," Pryor joined Virgin/EMI-owned Positiva Records and issued the track "Rich Kid$" with I.D.A. He followed up in 2019 by releasing the solo single "So What."
