Johnny McGuire

Johnny McGuire registered on country radio's map through his role in the duo Walker McGuire, which scored a Top 40 entry with the 2017 single "Til Tomorrow." Two years later he launched a solo career, channeling his warm nasal delivery into an easygoing brand of country-pop shaped by R&B textures. Born in Fairway, Kansas, McGuire started on guitar at age five and quickly soaked up classic rock alongside country while gigging with local groups. He turned professional after teaming with Jordan Walker, who hails from Vernon, Texas; the pair officially formed Walker McGuire in Nashville during May 2012 and built a following in Music City, helped especially by exposure on the syndicated Big D & Bubba show. Their first single, "Til Tomorrow," arrived in March 2016 and climbed to number 35 on Billboard's Country chart over the following year, driven by organic streaming and word-of-mouth momentum. "Mama's Kitchen Table" came out in 2017 yet failed to chart. After issuing a self-titled EP and several digital singles throughout 2018, the duo parted on good terms in February 2019, with Walker shifting focus to songwriting while McGuire kept performing. McGuire then signed to BBR Music Group and delivered his debut solo EP, Neon Nights, in September 2019. Around that period he joined fellow Kentucky native Billy Ray Cyrus for the duet "Chevys and Fords." In March 2020 he released "I Can't Even," a Hardy-penned track from Neon Nights, marking his first solo single.
