Kaleido emerged as a Detroit-based heavy rock outfit centered on the soaring and powerful vocals delivered by frontwoman Christina Chriss alongside the crushing drum work of Joey Fava. Their sound merges melodic elements with intense heaviness, which helped them gain recognition during the mid-2010s as dedicated road warriors who brought the hard rock ethos of their city to fans across the Atlantic. Stages shared with prominent acts from Aerosmith through to Rob Zombie led to their 2017 full-length debut album Experience, and two years after that came the EP No Rly... I'm Fine. Ongoing heavy touring accompanies the release of singles such as the rousing "Ghosts" from 2022.

Christina Chriss and her drumming and songwriting collaborator Joey Fava established Kaleido back in 2011. Bassist Cody Morales joined forces with guitarists Ronnie Rosolino and Zach Bolling, allowing the group to gain quick traction throughout the Midwest before launching national tours behind their initial self-titled EP. The year 2014 saw the arrival of their follow-up EP Unbreakable, which broadened their mix of explosive hard rock with pop, metal, and funk influences. Subsequent years brought performances at the Warped Tour and assorted festivals plus support slots alongside acts including Aerosmith, Evanescence, Sammy Hagar, Slash, and Twenty One Pilots, solidifying their presence nationwide even as they collected multiple Detroit Music Awards locally. A 2015 U.S. tour backing Living Colour preceded their first U.K. appearances alongside Alien Ant Farm, setting the stage for Experience to arrive as Kaleido's inaugural full-length record in 2017.

The 2019 EP No Rly... I'm Fine marked a change in personnel as Drew Johnston stepped in to replace guitarists Rosolino and Bolling. A special expanded version of Experience came out in 2020, after which the band concentrated on putting out numerous independent singles such as 2021's "Panic in a Pandemic" along with "Run" and "Ghosts" in 2022.
