Lewis Brice emerged as a recording artist during the mid-2000s, shortly after his cameo in the clip for “I Drive Your Truck,” the 2014 hit single cut by his older sibling Lee. Vocally he leans funkier than his ballad-oriented brother, crafting country that welcomes pop and R&B influences yet keeps an open-road spirit intact.

Raised in Sumter, South Carolina, he sang regularly in church choirs before joining praise & worship ensembles. A few years later he relocated to Charleston and began working the city’s club circuit. By 2006 he had established himself in the Nashville area, performing live while honing original material. That year’s first season of CMT’s Can You Duet found him finishing eighth alongside duet partner Gabriel Jordan. Two years afterward, the single “Ordinary Girl” circulated widely on the internet.

Brice assembled the backing group the Escorts and maintained a steady schedule of shows throughout the 2010s. He later entered the studio alongside Lee to cut the EP that surfaced as his self-titled 2017 debut.
