Taleban Dooda first drew widespread notice in 2020 when his melodic style of rap propelled the tracks “Tru Colors” and “2 in Da Morning” to massive streaming totals. After two joint projects with Rees Money, he unveiled his debut full-length Fallen Angel in 2021. Later came the eight-track mini-album White Chalk & Yellow Tape, issued in 2022.

Raised in Tampa, Florida, Dooda developed an early passion for R&B and hip-hop while still in school, citing Eminem, Bruno Mars, and John Legend among his formative influences. A series of freestyles shared online prompted him to pursue rapping more seriously, leading to his first collaborations with Rees Money in 2019. Those sessions yielded several singles, among them 2019’s “LLQ” and “Ride It.” The release of “Tru Colors” in 2020 quickly spread across social platforms and video sites, prompting industry attention. Dooda then paired with Rees Money again for the albums Love Is Pain and On Go, Vol. 1 while also advancing his solo work. Mid-2020 brought “2 in Da Morning,” another streaming powerhouse that established him among Florida’s leading emerging melodic rappers. Throughout 2021 he issued further tracks before presenting his first solo album, Fallen Angel, and closed the year with the EP Risk It All. The 2022 single “Foreigns & Trackhawks” opened another wave of releases, culminating in the late-year arrival of White Chalk & Yellow Tape, which again featured “2 in Da Morning.”
