Biography
Tim Dugger cultivated an easygoing style steeped in the bright, accessible strains of mainstream country during the 1990s, while matching his devotion to the genre with an equal passion for NASCAR. His live sets often traced the racing schedule itself, broadening exposure for the genial sound later captured on his first EP, Beer on a Boat, issued in 2015.
Born in Alabama, Dugger started singing as a youngster during the 1990s, beginning in church settings. Country became his focus once he reached his teens, when he joined successive bands that eventually moved into bar venues toward the close of that decade. He soon began selling his own songs at these performances, many of which continued to follow the NASCAR route.
In the middle of the 2000s, as he left his teenage years behind, Dugger saw a reality program titled Highway to Fame developed around his story; the series finally premiered in 2012 and spotlighted him alongside other up-and-coming country vocalists.
Through the mid-2010s he maintained a steady performing schedule while continuing to write and lay down new tracks that surfaced periodically as digital-only releases. In 2015 he joined Curb Records and teamed with producer Jim Ed Norman to shape the songs that formed Beer on a Boat.
For the following four years he kept up regular live work and reinforced his longstanding ties to the NASCAR circuit. Early in 2020 he delivered his second EP, Signs of a Good Time, produced by Brandon Hood.
