Dylan Schneider charts a course through shifting currents stretching from Florida Georgia Line and Sam Hunt onward to Morgan Wallen while retaining his friendly, down-to-earth character across assorted musical landscapes. Early releases such as the simmering “How Does It Sound” and the upbeat “Ain’t Missin’ You” stayed close to Sam Hunt’s approach, yet Schneider gradually pursued a grittier direction. By the mid-2020s his catalog included tougher numbers like “Bad Decisions” and “Carhartt,” tracks that steered clear of nostalgic revivalism.

Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on October 8, 1999, Schneider grew up drawn to pop and hip-hop before country music captured his attention at age thirteen. The narrative focus of country material aligned well with his vocal strengths, prompting him to begin singing at fourteen. An admirer of Brett Eldredge, he encountered the star at a concert in Paris, Illinois, Eldredge’s hometown. Their exchange continued, and at fifteen Schneider received an invitation to join Eldredge onstage during a Terre Haute appearance. He soon performed regularly throughout Indiana while making periodic trips to Nashville, Tennessee, for writing and studio work. In August 2016 he issued his debut EP, Wannabe, a five-track set whose single “You Heard Wrong” attracted substantial streaming activity. The follow-up EP, 17, arrived on his seventeenth birthday and contained six tracks, among them “Want You Back.” November 2016 brought the seasonal single “Mistletoe,” and June 2017 saw the release of Spotlight’s on You.

Schneider joined Interscope in 2019 and delivered the EP Whole Town Talk that August, supporting it with dates on Florida Georgia Line’s Can’t Say I Ain’t Country tour. He switched to BBR Music Group in 2022, unveiling the College Town EP in March. By year’s end he had issued “Ain’t Missin’ You,” a single that incorporated firmer country accents, a shift continued on 2023’s “Daddy Drinks Whiskey.” The process reached completion with the early-2024 EP Bad Decisions.
