A Christian artist rooted in Boston, gio. fuses pop and hip-hop textures with introspective, faith-centered lyrics. Securing the premier award at the Elevation Conference while building an audience through standalone releases such as the 2022 track "mess it up" and the 2023 single "if i tried," he attracted Capitol Christian Music Group and prepared his first album, the 2024 project NOBODY ELSE.

Raised in the suburbs surrounding Boston, Massachusetts, Gio developed an early passion for poetry and creative writing during elementary years. In middle school he first strummed a guitar to accompany church services; already steeped in gospel sounds, he began absorbing Christian rap from artists including KB, Andy Mineo, and Lecrae. During high school he adapted his poems into songs and posted them online, where their devotional tone resonated within Christian communities and inspired him to abandon sports in favor of greater musical focus.

Presenting his name as gio., he issued hip-hop-driven early singles such as the 2020 release "Mission," the Henrik collaboration "JUDGE ME," "shadows" featuring LOGE, and the solo cut "burn for u," which earned him the Grand Prize at the 2022 Elevation Conference and expanded his streams into the millions. Relocated by then to Lynchburg, Virginia, he shifted toward a melodic pop-and-rap blend with the late-2022 single "mess it up." Follow-up tracks like April 2023’s "if i tried," recorded with Henrik and LOGE, and the May solo offering "on my own" combined candid self-reflection, buoyant beats, concise melodic refrains, and hip-hop ingredients. Capitol Christian Music Group soon signed him for his debut full-length, NOBODY ELSE, issued in October 2024. Structured in the manner of many rap albums, the project incorporated interstitial segments such as a brief skit and featured guest spots from his associates Henrik and LOGE.
