Hailing from Venezuela, Jerry Di has made his mark as a charting singer and songwriter. He numbers among the Venezuelan artists—Danny Ocean, Corina Smith, Micro TDH, and Big Soto among them—who secured international commercial success in the 21st century. Before launching his solo career, Di belonged to Calle Ciega, the renowned Venezuelan boy band. His original music fuses hip-hop, Latin trap, reggaeton, Latin pop, and R&B, while an expressive tenor conveys emotion with resonance. After issuing his 2018 debut “Culito Nuevo,” he has released more than 35 additional singles and has collaborated with and written for Rafa Pabon, Sixto Rein, and numerous others. Although early 2019 tracks such as “Verano en París” and “Shorty” attracted considerable attention from fans and industry figures, 2020’s “Mi Cuarto” charted in 20 countries, earned gold certification, and its video surpassed half a billion views. The 2023 collaboration “Caracas en el 2000” with Elena Rose and Ocean appeared on charts throughout Latin America. In 2024 Di began issuing a series of themed singles titled Asilo Collections, all of which charted; the five releases that appeared between March and October were “Negación,” “Ira,” “Negociacion,” “Deprecion,” and “Aceptacion.”
