Mak Sauce

Originally from Atlanta yet insisting his roots lay on Saturn, the energetic MC Mak Sauce joined a roster of artists tied to Quality Control. Although inked to the imprint at the outset of his professional path, he pursued solo projects on his own, including the dreamlike and otherworldly 2018 mixtape Lost.

He launched his recording career while still in his late teens. Frequently spotted in a purple fur coat or with pink-dyed hair, he cultivated an alien identity paired with an eccentric aesthetic. The 2017 deal with Quality Control placed him alongside established acts such as Migos, Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty; that same year the label released his trap-pop mixtape Blind to Reality 2. By contrast, the more atmospheric and brooding 2018 sequel Lost appeared via Run-It-Up Records. Two further 2019 efforts—the vibrant, humorous single “Good Morning” and the full-length Saturn Boy—also came out on Run-It-Up Records, the latter boasting guest spots from DaBaby, Mundo Shoy, Paper Lovee, and additional contributors.
