A Kentucky-raised vocalist and MC whose style blends silky, introspective R&B textures, Vory first reached a national audience in 2015 through his featured turn on Louisville peer Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t.” Building on that platform, he issued independent singles and joined forces with Cassow, Blu, and AD while accumulating songwriting credits for Drake and the Carters. In 2020 he became an early signee to Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers imprint, which issued his self-titled mixtape; two years later the label followed with the studio album Lost Souls. After parting ways with Dream Chasers he aligned with Electric Feel, an imprint of Capitol, for the 2024 EPs EROS and Who Don't Like Me.

Leveraging the visibility earned alongside Tiller, the artist then billed as King Vory issued his debut mixtape, Overdose, in 2016. Hosted by Adrian Swish and DJ Radio, the project included appearances from Lil Bibby, Zaytoven, AD, Blu, Nick E Beats, and Ayo N Keyz. The following year he streamlined his moniker to Vory and released the singles “Try,” “Do That Shit,” and “Hold of Me,” sharpening the moody melodic approach already evident in his work. By 2018 his output grew more frequent, highlighted by the tracks “Control” and “9.22” and guest spots on releases by Reese LaFlare, Justine Skye, Pierre, and Cassow. He simultaneously expanded his behind-the-scenes résumé, co-writing material for Drake and the Carters; the latter collaboration earned a Grammy Award for the album Everything Is Love. In 2019 he returned with the SAY EP, led by the single “Save Me Now.”

The increased profile culminated in a formal deal with Dream Chasers, which delivered another self-titled mixtape in late 2020. Vory’s first proper studio album, Lost Souls, arrived in 2022 and featured guest contributions from Kanye West, BLEU, and NAV; it debuted at number one on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Throughout 2023 he maintained a steady pace of features, appearing alongside Lil Durk, Rick Ross, and Fabolous while also issuing a series of solo tracks. Following his release from Dream Chasers he joined Electric Feel and unveiled the 2024 projects EROS and Who Don't Like Me.
