Biography
Denny White, based in California, performs both on his own and as half of the bright electronic pop pair Golden Coast, displaying a talent for memorable melodic lines paired with emotionally rich singing. Born in Hemet, he shifted to Los Angeles at 18 and first gained notice as a guitar-focused pop songwriter via the Colors EP in 2013, before starting the Golden Coast project alongside Steven Mudd in 2014. His following solo release arrived with the atmospheric 2016 single "Sweetness," which introduced a more shadowed, synth-driven sound that carried into "Psycho" issued later that year. The bulk of 2017 went toward Golden Coast, producing just one individual track, "Whatcha Thinkin' About." He opened 2018 by releasing the crisp, energetic single "Torn Up."
