Hailing from South Memphis, rapper Kevo Muney projects an introspective and composed demeanor that reflects maturity well ahead of his age, fueling a notably swift climb in the industry. As a melodic and versatile MC, he stepped into commercial releases during his late teens and has already accumulated several full-length efforts, among them the Atlantic-released Baby G.O.A.T. from 2019 and Lucille's Grandson in 2021.

From a young age, Muney harbored a clear determination to pursue rapping, beginning to lay down tracks and issue mixtapes independently toward the close of the 2010s. The bold single "Don't Know Me" from Who Am I drew notice from Atlantic, resulting in a contract formalized in November 2019. By year's end, both "Testimony" and the nine-track Baby G.O.A.T.—featuring Memphis-based artists BlocBoy JB and Tay Keith—had appeared. The reflective Leave Some Day EP followed in 2020, succeeded the next year by the mixtape Lucille's Grandson, which included contributions from Lil Durk and NLE Choppa.
