Paper Lovee

Atlanta rapper and vocalist Paper Lovee, born Ibnisa Durr, refined his abilities in total isolation long before entering any professional studio environment. During his youth the budding MC would record vocal sketches and song concepts inside friends’ bathrooms and closets, shielding every idea until it reached full form. Following a period of incarceration, Durr devoted himself entirely to a rap career, issuing material for a while under the alias Cashset Paper and then launching the Paper Lovee moniker with the 2016 single “Why Wait.” Blending brash rap delivery with melodic phrasing, he issued additional singles and reached spring 2018 with the introspective, R&B-inflected single and video “Here 4 Ya.”
