Og Maco

Atlanta rapper OG Maco arrived in 2014 by transplanting Mystikal’s slurry, slanted style into cloud rap, introducing himself through the single “U Guessed It.” Irritated at his sound engineer and by poor treatment at a spot serving both voluptuous women and chicken wings, he ad-libbed the bulk of the track while the tape kept running. Once the aggressive cut hit the internet that year it spread rapidly, followed by “FUCKEMx3,” which included guest appearances from Atlanta crew Migos. Later the same year a remix of “U Guessed It” arrived featuring 2 Chainz, alongside the more subdued solo cut “Sheesh.” OG Maco died on December 26, 2024, at the age of 32.
