Yakki

Atlanta rapper Yakki, guided by Rico Wade alongside Future, advanced his trajectory through the 2015 single "D.R.A.K.E.," an acronym standing for "Do Right And Kill Everything." Also known at times as Yakki Divioshi, his commanding voice first surfaced in high school, where he participated in groups that included Johnny Cinco while his parents' repeated relocations helped him meet others in the Atlanta circuit. Football claimed part of his schedule too, with stints as a linebacker at the schools he attended, until an injury suspended hopes of playing in college and returned his emphasis to rap. After issuing a mixtape and appearing with Young Thug on the 2014 tracks "Yah Yah" and "I Want It," he put out the independent "D.R.A.K.E." together with the single "Flex God" the following year. Early 2016 brought both the single "Better Without Ya" and the mixtape The Life of YakkStick.
