Biography
Q Money built a substantial audience on Instagram before converting that visibility into an independent rap career. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, the rapper launched his recording career in 2017 by issuing Win, a three-track collection of spare, boastful cuts. By year’s end he teamed with Cuban Doll for the track “Mo’ Swag.” The August 2017 release of the single “Work,” supported by an official video, marked his most successful song to date and served as an advance look at his debut mixtape, Neva Had Sh*t, which arrived the following March. Promotion for the project continued with the single “Countin’ Up a Check” and an extensive U.S. tour that commenced the next month. In 2019 he delivered the follow-up project How You Gon Hate.
