Davonte Taylor, known professionally as Ohio rapper Ripp Flamez, surfaced in 2016 and anchored his standing inside Cleveland’s hometown circuit by means of a melodic approach rooted in R&B alongside an unyielding commitment to consistent output. Multiple early tracks arrived in tandem with the year’s debut full-length WaveForever, which he promptly followed by issuing the sophomore effort Day One Forever. Scarcely past an impressive opening year in the business, Flamez opened 2017 with the Bigga Rankin-assisted single “Projects,” a cut later featured on the March arrival of his Project Melodies LP.
