SpotemGottem, a Florida rapper, achieved his breakthrough in 2020 through the trap anthem “Beat Box,” whose aggressive flows rode a bass-heavy instrumental to viral success and eventual Billboard chart placement. A remix of the track carrying a new verse from Pooh Shiesty landed on his debut mixtape Final Destination that same year, after which he signed with Geffen in 2021, paving the way for the subsequent releases Most Wanted and Back from the Dead.

Raised in the Jacksonville area, he began uploading his own tracks online at age 16. By 2018 several standalone singles, among them the reflective “Street Gossip,” had drawn considerable notice. In 2020 he issued the five-song EP Osama Story and quickly followed it with the single “Beat Box,” which would become one of his signature recordings. Later that year he assembled previously released material alongside new cuts for Final Destination, where Hotboii and Jackboy also appeared alongside the Pooh Shiesty remix of “Beat Box.” In 2021 he joined the Geffen-affiliated label Rebel Music for the mixtape Most Wanted, which contained yet another “Beat Box” remix now featuring DaBaby; the project debuted at number 103 on the Billboard charts, and December brought his third mixtape, Back from the Dead. Steady single output continued into 2022 with “Get Backers,” “Snapshit,” and “Block Got Hot.”
